One Purple House

One Purple House.
A history like no other.

Ready for transformation.
Declarations of the highest.

One group of 20' somethings,
excited for the journey this entails.

Numerous hearts ready to be restored.

Through Jesus
hearts will be saved.

Through Jesus,
testimonies will be made.

Have your will, Jesus.

One Purple House.
What wonders of the Word.

Through Jesus.
What Disciples will be made.

A step closer to revelation.

God we lift this up in your name.  The opportunities that have risen, we thank you for them.  Every day we are reminded that there is great power in the name of Jesus.  Great power in your LOVE, and GRACE. Grant us the ears to hear, the eyes to see and the faith to be abiding to your word.  Whatever this purple house may become, we pray that it becomes a light onto the word.  A safe place.  We pray into the word given of dark clouds above, and the way that your Holy Spirit being over this city moved these clouds of darkness away.  Break the chains of the city, restore their hope and faith.
Power in your name, Jesus.
What power.
Amen.

Washington vs. Whittier middle School

The girls were anxious to begin the trip, but now as the first night comes to a close it's widely known that everyone is exhausted.  Red in the face (from the sun of course), grumpy by all mean and just plain tired.  Getting accustomed to a new area is always difficult, but with the humid heat and little experience in the area, maps of all colors became our new best friend.  Water bottles in hand, pins hanging from all the girls necks and the race was on.  Here at NHD boys and girls all over the world find common ground very quickly when it comes first to their passion of history and second get as many new pins from as many new places as possible.  Kids literally sigh when they realize the state you're from is already shown on their cord.               The speaker was amazing; a former NHD contestant herself she knew the drills; from research to traveling tips.  Ye...

Hello again! Long time no talk?

Updating my blog often is not as habitual as I would like, however here I am given a quick catch up.  On June 8th, 2014 I graduated from Poland Regional High school and let me just say it was quite a relief to finally be done these last four years.  It was like that of a marathon, the last leg of the race that seemed to continue on forever. I'd been impatient with life for who knew where I was going, or where the heck I'd even end up.  The last month of high school was one of the most challenging, but with a few close friends tightly by my side I made it through.             "Don't wish away high school, when you're finished you'll want to go back. Experience it all."  Advice I heard continuously from elders, much wiser for a reason.  Yet as I finished my last real day of high school emotions ran high.  Four years of ups and downs, highs and lows that seemed to feel like a r...

Costa Rica

In February of 2012 I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Los Anonos, Costa Rica for my first mission trip.  God changed my heart here.  For 10 days a group of us from the Mechanic Falls Vineyard traveled done to love on those in the community. Together a lot was achieved. Hand in hang with the youth there we held an eye glass clinic in Jasmine (my personal favorite part of the trip) & also the males from our group went and played futbol with men in a rehab program.  In addition we were involved in prayer walks, youth group and the regular Sunday service. I love everything about the Latin America culture. God's spirit flowed through this community, it was so peaceful unlike any other place I had ever been. My heart truly longs to be back in Costa Rica with these people whom I connected so well with.  Here are just a few pictures of the views and houses of people.
